As Will Smith almost said in Men In Black, "I make research look good."
One of the things they like to do at American Student Assistance is publish research. Like, a lot of research. It's good research, but it could be easier on the eyes. That's where I come in.
In 2020, I developed the core style and overall design for ASA's Insights whitepapers, and have been largely in charge of their creation since. The new templates give the research papers a bold, fresh look that differentiates them from others in the space. While the design has naturally evolved over time, and unique elements are created and discarded for each paper, the papers now feel consistent and come together quickly, aided by—dare I say—some rather well organized InDesign templates.
Below are a sampling of some pages from these whitepapers. The full PDFs can be found on ASA's website, if you feel like reading.
